The weeks following birth can feel miraculous and challenging. You've brought home your bundle of joy and are simultaneously exhausted from birth and energized by the new little one in your life. Suddenly, your whole world is about this tiny, gorgeous baby, and you may wonder how to do the things you used to do-- like cooking for yourself, cleaning, sleeping and showering-- with a baby so often in your arms. As a partner, perhaps you wonder who will come fill in when you go back to work. If your baby is the first infant you've spent significant time with, maybe you are looking for guidance around things like feeding, burping, diapering, and soothing baby.
This is where I enter. My task is to support you as you bond with the new baby in your life. I provide nurturing, nonjudgmental in-home support through the first months postpartum, helping you settle into the new rhythm of your family. My services are available during the day and overnight.
I believe that the early bonding period is a crucial time during which all families deserve substantial support. I will take cooking, cleaning, and laundry off your plate, and will care for baby while you shower, rest, or sleep, ensuring you get what you need to care for your little one day after day. I will also support you in learning to care for your newborn. By the end of our time together, my greatest hope is that you feel deeply confident in your ability to care for your baby.
Some days together might entail answering your feeding questions, caring for you as you rest in bed, and discussing what it is like to be a new parent. Other days, might consist of cooking you a nutritious meal, giving your other kids some attention, throwing in laundry, and tidying the house.
